Allison Pregler Bio

Allison Pregler is an avid film critic who reviews Z-graded films typically in the martial arts or horror genres. Her style of review and methodology is similar to The Cinema Snob. However she prefers to review crappy action movies with a morbid fascination. She began reviewing movies in late 2009 after becoming well-known on their forums. (Under the name of her previous handle Obscurus Lupa) Then she was asked to be part of Channel Awesome. Channel Awesome team. The channel remained member of the channel up until January 2015 after which Obscurus Lupa Presents transformed into Movie Nights. The podcasts she hosts focus on the Charmed series. After a controversial departure from Channel Awesome Allison officially announced on January 20th 2015 that she'd be revamping OLP into an impromptu review show called Movie Nights with an appropriately-shlocky elevator jazz theme. She reviews terrible films for children or RiffTrax programs, and also occasional adult humor (including Baywatch (2017)). Her first review was in the middle of 2009. Her name gained lots in popularity thanks to the Channel Awesome forum before becoming part of the family. She has appeared in countless Channel Awesome series, from Atop the Fourth Wall through Phelous & the Movies. She used to be a part of Channel Awesome's Channel Awesome Family alongside Doug Walker She would also appear often on episodes of the Nostalgia Critic.
